A cassette type air conditioner is provided to mount a guide wing between a fan and a heat exchanger for preventing generation of vortex caused by pressure difference between a low pressure part and the fan, thereby reducing vortex noise and improving heat exchange efficiency. A cassette type air conditioner includes a main body(11) of an indoor unit formed with an inlet(12a) and an outlet(12b), a fan(100) mounted in the main body rotatively for inhaling air via the inlet and discharging air via the outlet, and a driving motor(14) for supplying rotation force to the fan. A heat exchanger(13) is mounted on an air path of the fan and the outlet for carrying out heat exchange of air. A guide wing(200) is mounted between the fan and the heat exchanger and surrounding the fan with a predetermined distance therefrom.
