A brake system of a conveyor roller is provided to obtain a high braking ratio by modifying the structure of the brake system. A deceleration apparatus of a conveyor roller comprises a gear deceleration apparatus(20) having an axis(13) installed therein and a secondary brake deceleration apparatus(30). The gear deceleration apparatus(20) comprises two or more planetary gears around a sun gear. The planetary gears engage with an internal gear(15) of a housing(12) to primarily decelerate the speed of the axis(13) according to a braking ratio between the gears. A gear base is installed at the axis(13). Two or more brake pads are assembled to two sides of the gear base. Two symmetrical weight buckets have two ends fixed to each other by an elastic spring.
