A steel for a ship is provided to achieve excellent corrosion resistance for main structures such as a crude oil tank bottom plate or a ballast tank against salinity of sea water or high temperature and high humidity by adopting the steel having high corrosion resistance in fabrication of the structures. A steel for a ship contains 0.01 to 0.3 mass % of C, 0.01-2% of Si, 0.01-2% of Mn, 0.005-0.1% of Al, 0.01-1% of Cu, 0.01-1% of Ni, 0.01-1% of Cr, and the remainder of Fe and inevitable impurities. Ferrite is the maximum structure of the steel and the sum of Bainite and/or Martensite is less than 30%, including 0.
|
