A method and a system for assisting a DMB service by using wireless data communication in a DMB service system are provided to use position information of a DMB terminal, periodically check the receiving sensibility of a DMB signal of the DMB terminal, or receive a wireless data communication path request from a user, and assist the streaming of the DMB service by using the wireless data communication when the DMB service is disconnected. A DMB contents server(150) establishes a wireless data communication path when the position of a DMB terminal(110) is periodically checked and the DMB terminal(110) enters in a DMB shadow area, when information about the receiving sensibility of a DMB signal is periodically received from the DMB terminal and the receiving sensibility is unstable, or when a signal for requesting the setup of the wireless data communication path is received. The DMB contents server(150) downloads voice data of DMB which is being provided to the DMB terminal(110) by using wireless data communication.
