An apparatus for applying a fluorescent material is provided to improve power delivery efficiency by directly coupling a rotating plate driver with a rotating plate. An upper end of a glass tube is fixed on a rotating plate(110). A fixing plate(120) is arranged to be parallel to a lower portion of the rotating plate and includes a fluorescent material tank. A center axis(130) couples the rotating plate with the fixing plate. A vacuum suck-in portion(140) is coupled with an upper portion of the glass tube and sucks in the fluorescent material from the fluorescent material tank. The vacuum suck-in portion applies the fluorescent material inside the glass tube. A high temperature air injection unit(150) injects a high temperature air into the glass tube, which is fixed on the rotating plate, such that the fluorescent material is vaporized. A rotating plate driver(160) is directly coupled with the rotating plate and rotates the rotating plate at a constant speed.
