An apparatus for synthesizing carbon nanotubes is provided to discharge safely the gas within a reaction tube producing carbon nanotubes. An apparatus for synthesizing carbon nanotubes on a synthesis substrate includes: a reaction tube which provides a production space for carbon nanotubes; a gas supply part which supplies gas to the production space of the reaction tube; and an exhaust part which cools and discharges the gas within the reaction tube. The exhaust part comprises: an exhaust line(184) which is connected with the reaction tube and discharges the gas within the reaction tube into the outside; and a cooling member(150) which is installed on the exhaust line and cools the gas discharged through the exhaust line.
