A slat for a shading device is provided to regulate the quantity of solar radiation entering the interior of a room according to external weather conditions or the altitude of the sun with a simple structure without operating manually or using a driving device. A slat(100) for a shading device for securing a field of vision for outdoors through a window and regulating the quantity of solar radiation entering the interior of a room according to external weather conditions or the attitude of the sun includes a main plate member(10) made of metal, plastics or wood, an auxiliary plate member(30) placed parallel to the main plate member and connected to the main plate member, and a support member(50) made of shape memory alloys and attached on the top or the bottom of the auxiliary plate member to be deformed by a variation of temperature to vary the whole width of the auxiliary plate member.
