A slide type gate valve for a pipe is provided to allow the gate valve to be used for various types of fluids by changing materials for a sheet. A slide type gate valve comprises a body(10), a top bonnet(20), a bottom bonnet(30), a slide gate, a case(50), a driving unit(60) and a connecting unit. The body(10) has a connection path(12) at a center thereof. A guide hole extends by passing through the body(10). The top bonnet(20) is connected to a top part of the body(10). The top bonnet(20) has a top guide hole which is bigger than the guide hole formed in the body(10). The bottom bonnet(30) is connected to a bottom part of the body(10). The bottom bonnet(30) has a bottom guide hole which is bigger than the guide hole formed in the body(10). The case(50) is provided at a top of the top bonnet(20).
