INK COMPOSITION FOR COLOR-FITER AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

An ink composition for a color filter is provided to prevent occlusion of a ink jet head nozzle upon fine ink jetting of an ink jet recorded image and to improve the adhesion to a glass substrate after coating and drying the ink composition. An ink composition for a color filter comprises: 1-5 parts by weight of an acidic dye developing a desired color in an aqueous solution with a pH of 7.6-11; 2-10 parts by weight of acrylic binder particles for preventing agglomeration of the acidic dye and imparting adhesion to a glass substrate; 10-20 parts by weight of polyethylene glycol as a wetting agent; and 65-85 parts by weight of distilled water as a solvent. The acrylic binder is a terpolymer of an acrylic hydrophilic monomer, an acrylic hydrophobic monomer and an acrylic dyeable monomer.
