A multi-domain liquid crystal display is provided to prevent leakage of light by removing difference of after image by obtaining a multi-domain profile of a liquid crystal cell. A multi-domain liquid crystal display includes a plurality of first picture elements and a plurality of second picture elements which have opposite polarities under the same frame of an inversion drive scheme, a plurality of first auxiliary electrodes connected to the first picture elements, and a plurality of second auxiliary electrodes connected to the second picture elements. The first picture elements are at least partially surrounded by at least one second auxiliary electrode. The second picture elements are at least partially surrounded by at least one first auxiliary electrode to generate fringe fields. |
