A heat exchanger is provided to improve temperature distribution and performance and improve mounting efficiency of an air conditioner by locating a pressure reducing tank in the middle of tube lines at the opposite side of inlet and outlet pipes. A heat exchanger comprises upper and lower header tanks(10,20), a plurality of tubes(30) and inlet and outlet pipes(40,50). The upper and lower header tanks are arranged in parallel apart from each other, and have a sealed passage inside. The tubes allow the upper and lower header tanks to be communicated with each other, and circulate operating fluid. The inlet and outlet pipes to introduce and discharge the operating fluid are connected to certain positions of the upper and lower header tanks, respectively. A pressure reducing tank(60) is located in the middle of tube lines at the opposite side of the inlet and outlet pipes. |
