PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fully record data reproduced by a player by a recorder and to reduce power consumption by stopping power supply to the recorder timely without making operation complicated, in a reproducing/recording device which is provideed with a player and a recorder of which the power sources supplying power are independent from each other and in which the recorder records reproduced data from the player. SOLUTION: The reproducing/recording device is configured, as shown in the figure 1, such that a power source 3 for reproduction supplying power to the player 2 and a power source 5 for recording supplying power to the recorder 4 are functioned independently from each other, and that a power source interruption and control part interrupting supply of power from the power source 5 for recording is provided in a system controller 6 when the recorder 4 detects finishing of recording to a medium 16 for recording.
