PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently manufacture a strand to provide a pellet by preventing a bending of the strand and simultaneously significantly suppressing the occurrence of connected granules, in manufacturing the resin strand by a strand cut method. SOLUTION: The distance L between the position where a strand of molten resin 4 conveyed on a conveyor belt 3 first comes into contact with a cooling water 5 and the die hole 2 of an extruder extruding strand of molten resin 4 is set to 1.5 m to 5 m.
