<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus wherein the recycling time of respective units and components can be accurately grasped by performing the life/recycle control of respective units and components based on data stored by a storage device provided on a cartridge, and also, the improvement of working efficiency at collecting the data and the prevention of the apparatus failure are attained. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 100 includes: a conveying/feeding means 5 for conveying/feeding a recording paper; a writing means 4 for forming a latent image by using an optical writing means such as laser; an image forming means 3 for developing the latent image with toner and transferring the image to the recording paper; a reading means 2 for reading original data by using a scanner; a main body storage means 7 for storing at least the life information and operating time information on respective units and components in the image forming apparatus; a cartridge storage means 8 provided on the attachable/detachable cartridge; an operation/display part 6 for inputting operational information and displaying the operational information; a comparing means 10 for comparing the life information with the operating time information; and a control means 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
