<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic-component connector that forms a secure detachable connection and is packaged in a small space even when the electronic component is a module or other component that is linked to an optical waveguide or other signal transfer member, and transmits and receives a signal such as an optical signal via the transfer member. <P>SOLUTION: An optical waveguide 200 extends from a first side 210a of the module 210. The connector body 130 of the electronic-component connector 100 has an open portion 110 for accommodating a module 210 inserted from an open side. A socket contact portion 120 for contacting a connection terminal 215 of the module 210 is provided to the open portion 110. A lead-out path 130c is formed in the shape of a groove in the connector body 130 that is communicated with the open portion 110, and leads out the optical waveguide 200 from the connector body 130.
