<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting structure of a banister by which the banister can be connected to stairs, a stair landing or the like according to the slope of the stairs with good workability while imparting good appearance. <P>SOLUTION: The connecting structure of the banister comprises a connecting metal piece A including a frame 2 and a banister fitting part 3, and a square post 1. A vertical channel 11 is formed in a substantially center part of each of four side faces of the square post 1. The frame 2 is formed to have a U-letter shape in plan view and is fixable to the square post 1 in a manner of vertically movable along the vertical channel 11.
