PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solenoid and a solenoid valve capable of improving the general-purpose property for characteristic of suction force. SOLUTION: The linear solenoid 10 is provided with a stator composed of a case 11 and a yoke 16, a plunger 21 arranged by opposing to the stator, and an exciting coil 13 buried in the stator and generating suction force for moving the plunger onto one side in the axial direction in a suction part formed between the stator and the plunger.
