PURPOSE: A back-light assembly of liquid crystal device(LCD) is provided to simplify and minimize by using a wave guide pipe instead of a prism and a light guide plate. CONSTITUTION: The back-light assembly includes a lamp assembly having a luminescent lamp and a lamp reflection plate radiating light located at the edge of the LCD panel, and a lamp assembly having a lens condensing lights from the luminescent lamp and the lamp reflection plate, and a wave guide pipe transmitting lights to the front of a LCD panel by irradiating the lights condensed by the lens. The wave guide pipe includes upper layer having a large refraction ratio, and lower layer having a small refraction layer, wherein a reflection plate is coated in bottom of the lower layer. Whole reflection is proceeding in the lower layer by condensing light of the luminescent lamp at the edge of the upper layer of the wave guide with the lens.
