PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device for a vehicle capable of simultaneously photographing both inside and outside of the cabin at low cost using a simple constitution. SOLUTION: The imaging device for vehicle is equipped with an image pickup means having a single image pickup surface and converting the light turned into images on this image pickup surface to electric signals as image pickup data, an optical path constituting means to constitute a first optical path to lead the light corresponding to the scene ahead of the vehicle and turning into images in the first region on the image pickup surface of the image pickup means and a second optical path to lead the light corresponding to the scene inside the cabin and turning into images in the second region, different from the first, on the image pickup surface of the image pickup means, and a controlling means which analyzes the images based on the electric signals given by the image pickup means, and thereupon, controls the prescribed on-board mounted apparatus.
