PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an application apparatus with which the residual quantity of a material to be applied in a holder for the material to be applied is easily known. SOLUTION: The application apparatus 1 is equipped with the holder 2 for a material to be applied holding the material to be applied. A feeding rotator 21 that is rotated in a fixed direction and feeds the material to be applied is arranged in the holder 2 for the material to be applied. The holder 2 for the material to be applied is equipped with an electric motor 25 being a rotator drive means 22 for rotating the feeding rotator 21. A load detection means 26 detects a load applied to the feeding rotator 21 and an information means 27 is operated based on the detection of the load detection means 26.
