PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a color filter which does not have defects such as a white void and color unevenness when provided with a coloring pattern and has superior characteristics demanded as a color filter and is improved in, especially, smoothness and color characteristic, and the color filter manufactured by the same method. SOLUTION: An ink jet method is applied to deliver color inks of red R, green G, and blue B by ink jet devices to opening parts 11 of an ink-repellent partition pattern 2 formed on transparent substrate 1.
