PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical unit in which a sensor for detecting a position is disposed with enough room even if it is disposed in a compact and slim body. SOLUTION: A first shaft 100 where a lead screw LS3 that is a driving shaft and a guide shaft G3 are integrally formed, and a second shaft 101 where a lead screw LS4 and a guide shaft G4 are integrally formed are both disposed in parallel with a second optical axis so as to extend from an end to an end. By eliminating space for assembly in the center and also by disposing motors side by side on one side, space in which the sensor is disposed is provided. Furthermore, the sensor S1 and the sensor S2 for detecting the home positions of a first lens group 12 and a second lens group 14 are mounted at positions put between the driving shaft 100 and the driving shaft 101 in the space.
