METHOD FOR MANAGING INTERNET PROTOCOL HANDOFF IN NETWORK SYSTEM

A method for managing internet protocol handoff in a network system is provided to solve a problem about HOL(Head Of Line) that the transmission of a signal packet for handoff is delayed by data packet by physically dividing the data packet and signal packet when handoff of a moving nod is occurred to an external network. A method for managing internet protocol handoff in a network system comprises the following steps of: receiving registration request message through moving agent moved from a moving nod when the moving nod is moved to an arbitrary moving agent(501); transmitting the received registration request message to the previously located moving agent by the moving nod without modification(505); transmitting the registration response message in response to the registration message to the moved moving agent without modification(508); and processing IP(Internet Protocol) handoff by classifying a signal packet path from a data packet path.
