<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing artificial aggregate in which a firing temperature can be raised up to the very near temperature to the melting temperature in case of the occurrence of a change in the melting temperature of an object to be fired, the gap on the surface of the object to be fired is appropriately covered and a proper coefficient of water absorption is assured and thereby the artificial aggregate of extremely satisfactory quality exceeding that of natural aggregate can be manufactured. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the artificial aggregate by firing raw materials consisting of coal ash as principal components in a rotary kiln, in which the SiO<SB>2</SB>content in the raw materials to be fed into the kiln is regulated to≥50mass% and the artificial aggregate of≤3.0% in the coefficient of moisture absorption under reduced pressure is obtained by blowing an alumina substance into the object to be fired from the front side of the kiln. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
