<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform interpolating processing while efficiently detecting a scene change. <P>SOLUTION: The image decoder 1 comprises a generating means 11 which generates image data by decoding encoded image data frame by frame; a first judging means 13 which determines whether partial image data whose position and luminance are fixed for at least a certain period of time is contained in a previous frame or not; a second judging means 13 which determines whether a first difference between partial image data in the previous frame and partial image data in a current frame, and a second difference between a part of the image data in the previous frame except for the partial image data and a part of the image data in the current frame except for the partial image data are predetermined threshold values or above; and an interpolating means 14 which performs interpolating processing on the whole image data in the current frame, performs interpolating processing on the part of the image data in the current frame except for the partial image data, or performs no interpolating processing on the image data in the current frame, based on the judgement results. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
