PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object radio wave receiver capable of reliably knowing by a simple configuration. SOLUTION: A receiving means 172 is provided for receiving an object radio wave, a reception sensitivity setting part 172a is provided for setting reception sensitivity of the receiving means 172, a CPU 130 is provided for setting two set values of high reception sensitivity and low reception sensitivity in the reception sensitivity setting part during one time of reception of the object radio wave, a clocking means 13a is provided for starting clocking when the receiving means 172 receives the object radio wave responding to the set value of the reception sensitivity setting part 172a, and signaling means 191, 192, 194 are provided. If the object radio wave is received in both of high reception sensitivity and low reception sensitivity, the signaling means signals that "an emergency vehicle is approaching within a nearby range", and if the object radio wave is received only in high reception sensitivity, the signaling means signals that "an emergency vehicle exists in a faraway range".
