A loosening preventing screw is provided to prevent fastening force from being decreased by increasing a contact area and contacting pressure between the thread and a screw valley. In a loosening preventing screw(10) whose height of a thread is variable according to a pitch, a triangle-sectional projection(3) having a moderate inclined surface(3A) at a fastening direction and a steep inclined surface(3B) at the other end is formed at front and rear surfaces of threads(1,2) with standard height. Fastening force of the loosening preventing screw is kept by frictional force acting between the thread of its outer peripheral surface and a screw valley.
