<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of obtaining an image reducing the difference in brightnesses and a color shift by a black-level correction, and having a high image quality in the left-right regions of the image, even when the temperature of an imaging device reading an image signal by a normal 2-line reading system is increased to a fixed temperature or higher; and to provide a method for driving the imaging apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: An image sensor 18 reads charges by a 2-line reading from a CCD imaging device 34, and a black-level corrector 40 acquires the light-shielding levels of the left-right regions from supplied digital image data 54 and 56 in the case of a preparatory image sensing. When the temperature of the CCD imaging device 34 measured by a temperature sensor reaches a specified threshold or higher, charges are read by a 1-line reading from the CCD imaging device 34, and the black-level corrector 40 carries out the black-level correction to the whole screen by using the light-shielding level of the left region of a screen in the case of a main image sensing. Then, when the temperature is less than the specified threshold, charges are read by a normal 2-line reading from the CCD imaging device 34, and the black-level corrector 40 separately carries out the black-level correction to the left-right regions by using the light-shielding levels of the left-right regions of the screen. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
