<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leak prevention material for a fine particle capable of further enhancing a trapping effect and scattering and leak prevention effect of the fine particle without hindering the movement of a moving section. <P>SOLUTION: The leak prevention material includes a base fabric 12 having fluff 11, and a coating layer 13 formed on the backside of the base fabric 12. Pile threads constituting the fluff 11 comprises fluroresin fibers of single yarn fineness of 2 to 4 deniers and the length of the fluff 11 is 1.0 to 1.4 mm.
