PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for synthesizing and displaying information that facilitates handwriting and synthesis of input information and handwritten information; an apparatus for synthesizing and displaying information; and an apparatus for controlling information synthesis.

SOLUTION: The apparatus 1 for synthesizing and displaying information has a display means including a synthetic display area 21 and a handwritten input area 22 where the same layout is displayed; a handwritten input accepting and retaining means for accepting handwritten input on the handwritten input area 22 and visually retaining the handwritten input; and a handwritten input information capturing means 46 for capturing the handwritten input as handwritten input information. The apparatus 41 for controlling information synthesis has a synthesis means for synthesizing the information displayed in the synthetic display area 47 with the handwritten input information captured by the handwritten input information capturing means, and a display control means for displaying the synthesized synthetic information in the synthetic display area 47 of the display means.
