摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce manufacturing cost as compared with a conventional image decoder by eliminating useless transfer to an external memory while minimizing the capacity of a local memory in an image decoder, thereby enhancing transfer efficiency and suppressing increase in pass bandwidth of the external memory.

SOLUTION: The image decoder transfers a rectangular region which is shifted from the region of a picture corresponding to the block of transfer object by a number of lines affecting the filtering of a block located below the block of transfer object, and further shifted to the left therefrom by a number of rows affecting the filtering of a block located on the right of the block of transfer object.
