PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of electric corrosion between wires during a lighting inspection by preventing a washing liquid remaining in inside of a panel structure from passing around to the terminal side. SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a liquid crystal device includes steps of; manufacturing a panel structure 7 of one column of liquid crystal panels; washing the panel structure 7; and performing the lighting inspection of a plurality of liquid crystal panels included in the panel structure 7 by using terminals 13 provided in the panel structure 7. In a step of forming seal materials, a plurality of first seal materials for enclosing a liquid crystal 5 per liquid crystal panel and second seal material 6b for isolating areas wherein the terminals 13 are formed, and areas extending from the outside of the first seal materials 6a to the terminals 13, of wires 15 and 16 are formed.
