FIELD: evaluation of quality of solid inorganic materials. SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method material is comminuted, sieved and three analytical samples are taken in the form of following fractions: ( 15.0-10.0 ), ( 12.5-7.5 ), ( 10.0-5.0 ) mm. These samples are utilized to prepare weights with establishment of mass of each weight out of material dried to constant mass in advance, to determine mass of pycnometer with distilled water, mass of pycnometer with distilled water and weight after removal of air bubbles. Pycnometric specific volume Vpv. is computed. Dependence of values of pycnometric specific volume on diameter of fractions is approximated to formula of straight line. Specific volume of solid phase Vsf. is found. Value of density of solid phase of capillary-porous inorganic materials is determined by formula .
