<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus with easy maintenance forming an image of high quality by having a photoreceptor drum always rotated at uniform velocity. <P>SOLUTION: By connecting a drum shaft 1a of the photoreceptor 1 and a rotating shaft 2a of a driving motor 2 by a tripod type uniform velocity joint J, the photoreceptor drum 1 is rotated at uniform velocity and no stretching or shrinking occurs in an electrostatic latent image or the image transferred to transfer material A, even when shifting of shaft or inclination exists in both of the drum shaft 1a and the rotating shaft 2a. A pair of tapered surfaces are formed on tips of expanded parts of three track grooves formed on an outer ring 11 of the tripod type uniform velocity joint J and grease lubrication is made unnecessary by having the outer ring 11 and the tripod member 21 be synthetic resin moldings. By extracting the tripod member 21, the tripod type uniform velocity joint J can be dissembled and the maintenance of the image forming apparatus is facilitated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
