PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an FBG strain gauge capable of easily handled and manufactured and accurately measuring strains of objects to be measured at low costs. SOLUTION: The FBG strain gauge includes a metal pipe 3 having a fixing part 3a to an object to be measured W. An optical fiber 1 is inserted in the metal pipe 3, and an FBG 2 formed in the optical fiber 1 is housed in the metal pipe 3. A resin having an adhesiveness to the metal pipe 3 and the optical fiber 1 is filled into the metal pipe 3 to form a resin molding 4 in which the FBG 2 is embedded. An inorganic filler is mixed in the resin to heighten the modulus of elasticity of the resin molding 4. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
