PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To guide persons present in a building to an evacuation port by operating respective escalator facilities so as to direct them in an evacuation route direction when a disaster such as an earthquake occurs. SOLUTION: When the disaster such as the earthquake occurs, after operations of the respective escalator facilities 2 are stopped by a control device 3, voice announcement for switching an operation content is performed and the operation direction of the respective escalator facilities 2 is switched to an evacuation route side to re-start the operation.
