BASE STATION, MOBILE STATION, AND PROPAGATION PATH MEASURING SIGNAL TRANSMISSION CONTROL METHOD

A base station includes: transmission method decision means for deciding whether to transmit a propagation path measuring signal by the multi-carrier method or the single-carrier method; and transmission method report means for reporting information on the decided transmission method to the mobile station. The mobile station includes data mapping means for mapping the signal sequence of the propagation path state measuring signal onto the sub carrier according to the transmission method indicating whether to transmit the propagation path measuring signal reported from the base station, by the multi-carrier method or the single-carrier method.
