The connector has a plug area (3) and a plug (4) provided in a housing (1). The plug area includes a contact unit (3.1) that electrically contacts another contact unit (4.1) of the plug. A plug connection is made for a relative movement of the contact unit (3.1) of the plug area relative to the contact unit (4.1) of the plug with the pressure and/or volume and temperature changes in an interior of the housing. The contact units (3.1, 4.1) grate with each other such that a grating effect occurs in the contact units. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a housing for an electrical component with a plug area (2) a plug with contact units (3) a method for reducing an oxidation formation and/or oxidation corrosion in plug contact units of a plug and/or a plug area of a housing.
