<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-profile end stop system storage type water heater equipped with a tank which is thinner in the longitudinal direction and which is strong enough for repetitive use at a working water pressure of 0.1 MPa or higher. <P>SOLUTION: A hot water tank 1 consists of a lower tank having a water supply port 22 at the bottom and an upper tank, whose openings are each formed in an elliptical shape to be stronger and less deformable than a rectangular opening so that both can be reliably welded abutting on each other independently of the existence or not of collars on the outer peripheries. An electric heater 2 and a bimetal switch 4 fixed to the hot water tank 1 are arranged to be directed to the long axis or to be located at the corners of facing cases 41, 43, and so they are free from protrusion in the longitudinal direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
