PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrohydraulic surface treatment device capable of correctly detecting an interval interval between an electrode and a work in a real time, and depositing a smooth and uniform film having excellent corrosion resistance, wear resistance and hardness on the surface of the work. SOLUTION: The electrohydraulic surface treatment device is provided with: a pulse generation power source 1 for applying pulse voltage to a work 6 and an electrode 7; an inter-interval-to-electrod current/voltage detection part 2 for detecting at least either charging current before the start of discharge generated when pulse voltage is applied by the pulse generation power source 1 or a discharge current generated when the pulse voltage is canceled; an interval control part 3 where the converted value of an interval 8 is obtained by converting the detected value in terms of the distance D of the interval 8, the obtained converted value and the standard value of the interval 8 are compared, and, based on the compared result, a control signal for adjusting the interval 8 is output in such a manner that it is coincided with the standard value; and an electrode feed mechanism 4 for regulating the interval 8 based on the control signal.
