FOLDABLE IGNITER

[PROBLEMS] A foldable igniter capable of being, even if it is hot after use, folded compact without causing the user to suffer from burns and scorching clothes of the user, which enables the igniter to be stowed in a small space. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The foldable igniter (1) is constructed from a body (2) having a fuel tank (106), a piezoelectric unit (102), and an operation member (8) and from a rotation arm (4) connected at one end to the body (2) and receiving near the other end a flame nozzle (94). At least either the body (2) or the rotation arm (4) has circular tube walls (26a, 26b, 26c) forming an annular space. Inside the rotation arm (4) is slidably received a pipe assembly (20). A body side end (88) of the pipe assembly (20) extends to the annular space of the body (2), and in the annular space are arranged a stopper (41) and an engagement section (40). The stopper (41) acts to project a nozzle side end of the pipe assembly (20) outward from an opening (60b), and the engagement section (40) acts to pull inward the nozzle side end.
