The invention concerns the field of necessities and more precisely the field of phytotherapy. More specifically, it concerns pharmaceutical or parapharmaceutical compositions containing as active principle a powder or a plant extract of the genus Hypericum in an inert and non-toxic carrier or a vehicle. The inventive compositions may also contain one or such minerals derived from magnesium at a concentration ranging between 10 mg and the maximum of the daily supplement intake. The inventive compositions may further contain a polyunsaturated fatty acid of series n-3. The invention is useful as tranquilizer and anti-stress medicine.
