Device for producing a capping piece of a frame and/or a leaf of a window made from aluminum comprises a punching unit (5) having a base body (7) for supporting the capping piece and an upper support (6) moving perpendicularly to the base body for holding stamps (4) for producing recesses. The punching unit has an adjustable stop for positioning the capping piece in the punching unit and a scale which interacts with the stop. The stamps are structured in the capping piece for each recess and a tool (8) is assigned to each stamp. The tool has an opening which corresponds to the cross-section of the stamp.
