A head restraint system for an automotive vehicle seat 10 includes a head rest 20 carried upon a pair of mounting posts 14 which may be extended telescopically from a seatback 12 to alter the vertical height of the head rest 20. Each of the mounting posts 14 has an eccentric portion 14b so that when they are rotated about their base axes they reposition the head rest 20 horizontally in a fore-aft direction.
