A system and a method for providing a feeling checking service by transmitting an emoticon and a memo to a mobile terminal are provided to enable other users to understand the feeling of the user in real-time by transmitting the emoticon and the memo expressing the feeling of the user to the mobile terminal of other users. A member information managing module stores member information, and a name and a mobile number of predetermined persons. An emoticon/memo transmitting module transmits the emoticon/memo expressing an emotional state received from a member to the mobile number of the predetermined people and a recipient fixed by the member. A database(103) stores the member information, the information of the predetermined people, billing information, sound source for the emoticon, and the emoticon/memo. An emoticon transmitting web client(200) registers the member information, transmits the name and the mobile number of the predetermined people which are designated when subscribing for the service to the member information managing module through a web server(101), sets/transmits the emoticon/memo, and outputs the emoticon/memo received from other members to a predetermined position of a screen.
