METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR OFFERING USER INTERFACE IN A MOBILE STATION

An apparatus and a method for providing a user interface in a mobile station are provided to offer a more convenient user interface by displaying an upper menu and an associated sub menu through their respective windows at the same time. If the user of a mobile station selects a specific list at a main menu, the control part of the mobile station judges whether sub menus for the selected list exist. In case sub menus for the selected list exist, the control part displays the main menu and the sub menus corresponding to the selected list through separated windows. In this case, the control part displays the main menu and the sub menus on the first menu window and second menu window respectively. Also the control part displays the first menu window and second menu window at the same time.
