POLARIZING PLATE AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

A polarizing plate and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to restrict curls of the polarizing plate by regulating the water content rate of an acetylcellulose film over 0.5% before laminating the acetylcellulose film. In a polarizing plate(1), a cycloolefin resin film is laminated on one surface of a polarizing film(1) containing polyvinyl alcohol resin, by an adhesive agent and an acetylcellulose film is laminated on the other surface by an adhesive agent. The water content rate before laminating the acetylcellulose film is controlled over 0.5wt.%. The acetylcellulose film is dipped in the water at 10~45 degree for 1~60 seconds and then dried before lamination at 40~60 degree for 20~60 seconds. The water content rate of the film after the dipping and drying processes is kept over 0.5wt.%.
