A method for manufacturing a compensation film for an IPS (In-Plane switch) mode using nematic liquid crystal is provided to form a compensation film that is thin and serves as a +C-plate compensation film and to simplify a manufacturing process by forming an alignment film on a transparent supporter and coating nematic liquid crystal thereon using an inline coating method. An alignment layer coating solution contains an alignment layer resin from 15wt% to 55wt% and a hardening agent from 0.1wt% to 10wt%. The alignment layer coating solution is coated on a transparent supporter(300) using an inline coating method, dried, and UV-hardened to form an alignment layer(200). The alignment layer is rubbed in a length direction of the transparent supporter. A liquid crystal coating solution including nematic liquid crystal(100) from 15wt% to 60wt% is coated on the rubbed alignment layer using an inline coating method, dried, and UV-hardened to form a liquid crystal layer.
