An hourglass is provided to check the desirable amount of materials through measurement scales when the materials move from an upper cylinder into a lower cylinder. An hourglass(100) is composed of an upper cylinder(10) having a space formed inside; a connecting cylinder integrally connected to the lower part of the upper cylinder, formed in a diameter smaller than that of the upper cylinder, and provided with an inner space; and a lower cylinder(20) integrally connected with the lower part of the connecting cylinder and provided with an inner space and a discharge port(40) formed at the side. The discharge port is provided with an inner space and formed in the predetermined length. Measurement scales(30) are marked between the discharge port and the lowest end of the lower cylinder.
