The method involves providing a trim, of a seat element e.g. seat base, comprising a chair padding (20) to be arranged on a rigid armature (10) and a flexible cover (30), where the trim is provided with a fixation element (35) e.g. clip, integrated to the cover. The element is housed inside the padding by rotating the element such that a groove opens to the outside of the padding. The trim is positioned above the armature of a seat element. Pressure is exerted on the trim in a direction of trimming towards the armature for engaging the element on the armature. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a seat element trimming (2) a cover provided in a seat element trimming (3) a seat element obtained by a method of trimming a seat element.
